Our aim is three-prong
We support general practice across Morecambe Bay, ensuring surgeries offer excellent healthcare; directly or through MBPCC, so local people live healthy, fulfilling lives. All the GP practices, in the area, work alongside each other closely. Each practice has a representative that sits on the local Clinical Commissioning Group’s membership council.

Supporting them to provide excellent healthcare; directly or through MBPCC, so local people live healthy and fulfilling lives to their full potential.
MBPCC is a social enterprise, which means we put the needs of local people ahead of profits, and working for social good.
Our values reflect our organisation approach to our work:
- For the benefit of practices and patients
- Supporting development and sustainability of practices and workforce
- Not for profit – transparent and ethical
- Provide high quality and reliable delivery of care and services
- Empowering colleagues to help our practices flourish
- Equal opportunities and accessibility for our members
- Reinvest all proceeds into our communities
- Remain a politically neutral organisation

General Practice Leadership Team
In partnership with the Local Medical Committee, Primary Care Networks and Clinical Executive leads, the MBPCC Clinical Leadership Team (GPLT) supports practices by resolving complex, shared issues that cannot be resolved by individual practices alone. The GPLT also helps the wider health and care system work effectively with primary care. Practices across Morecambe Bay can share views, raise concerns and help shape system-wide improvements and clinical pathways.
