The Morecambe Bay Training Hub was established in 2015 as part of the national Enhanced Training Practice pilot project.
Addressing the educational needs of the multi-discplinary teams in general practice
Training Hubs were designed to address the educational needs of the multi-disciplinary teams in general practice and bring together service and education providers based in the community. The goal of the Training Hubs is to increase capacity within future workforce training programmes in communities. Alongside developing the current workforce’s ability to meet the needs of the regionally defined population.
Today, MBPCC holds the contract for the Lancashire and South Cumbria Primary Care Training Hub, which delivers excellent educational and training services for primary care across the region.
