MBPCC Helping Shape the Future of GP Federations

In September, our Chief Executive Andrew Giles led the National Association of GP Federations (NAoGPF) Annual Meeting in London, bringing together federation leaders from across the country to discuss the future of general practice at scale and the developing neighbourhood health agenda.

The day explored how GP federations can prepare for new Single and Multi-Neighbourhood Provider models, support PCNs to develop, shift more care into community settings, and ensure general practice at scale has a strong voice as the NHS changes.

Reflecting on the event, Andrew said:

"Many of the capabilities being discussed nationally are areas where MBPCC is already developing its work. It was encouraging to hear the ambition across national federations, and to see how much opportunity there is for general practice and GP Federations specifically to help shape the future of neighbourhood healthcare."

The annual meeting provided an opportunity for federation leaders to share learning, discuss common challenges and explore how primary care can help shape the next phase of NHS reform.

Through its leadership within NAoGPF, MBPCC continues to contribute to national discussions, helping to ensure we continue to shape and respond to national developments.
