Practices back MBPCC to help shape future healthcare delivery
MBPCC's Annual General Meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the organisation's achievements over the past year and share the progress made in supporting practices, patients and communities across Morecambe Bay.
Shareholder practices heard updates on a wide range of work, including progress around CQC readiness, quality and performance, and the continued development of services designed to support primary care. The meeting also provided an opportunity to spotlight a number of services delivered in partnership with member practices and recognise the contribution colleagues make every day.
The discussions highlighted the significant progress made over the last 12 months and the strong relationships MBPCC has built with practices and system partners. Looking ahead, shareholder practices voted unanimously to give MBPCC a mandate to pursue a wider role as a multi-neighbourhood provider, helping to shape services with general practice closely involved.
MBPCC Medical Director Dr Tom Jaimeson said:
"The AGM was a valuable opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved together over the past year and to share some of the excellent work taking place across MBPCC. I am incredibly proud of what colleagues have delivered and the positive impact this is having for practices and local communities. It was also encouraging to receive such strong support from our shareholder practices as we consider the next stage of our development."
The meeting provided an opportunity to share progress from the past 12 months, showcase key areas of work, and discuss MBPCC's future role in supporting practices and communities.
