Morecambe Bay National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme Update

DIGITAL update NHS England has selected Morecambe Bay as one of eight areas nationally to take part in a focused digital and data workstream within the National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme (NNHIP).

This workstream is exploring how national digital and data solutions can better support neighbourhood‑based working across primary care, community services, local authorities and the voluntary sector. The emphasis isq on enabling teams to work together more effectively day to day, rather than introducing new local IT systems.

Morecambe Bay’s involvement reflects the maturity of existing integrated working and provides an opportunity to influence how future national digital tools are designed. Participation is about shared learning and shaping national approaches, rather than delivering a new funded programme locally. T

The first national co‑design workshop took place on Tuesday 10 March 2026, bringing together local partners and the NHSE team to explore current neighbourhood models and where digital and data solutions could add most value.
